Getting Back to Living Your Dreams if you have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or Histamine Intolerance
Do you have any “bucket list” items?
People have shared so many of their dreams they want to get back to:
- Traveling to far off countries
- Living in other cultures
- Finishing a degree
- Getting back to their careers
- Being healthy enough to make their kid’s graduations
- Writing a book
- Running for office
- Recording an album
Some were even simpler:
- Not being in pain
- Being able to sleep through the night
- Being able to eat more foods
- Being able to eat out
- Having healthy kids who aren’t having anaphylaxis
What’s on your list? What are your biggest dreams?
Here’s a bit about mine…
When I was about 8 years old, I had a book with pictures of hundreds of ocean animals. And I’ve been fascinated with them since I was a little girl.
One of my bucket list items for years was to swim with whale sharks.
Whale sharks are amazing, beautiful animals. They are the size of a school bus. And can be over 50 feet long! But they eat only plankton and tiny fish. They don’t hurt people.
To see them, you have to travel to where they migrate – to places like Central America, South Africa, or Australia.
Here is a picture of one feeding. You can see a swimmer above the whale shark for a sense of size.
I know that would scare some people. But they really don’t hurt humans.
I dreamed about this for years. About being able to go someplace and swim with whale sharks.
For many years, I was too sick.
How would I ever be able to travel that far and swim that long?
It seemed impossible.
I was bedridden.
I had to use a cane to walk.
My Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and Histamine Intolerance Held Me Back
So, I let my dreams go for a while.
This felt really depressing – to let go of my dreams.
And I would cry in the bathtub thinking about it. Wishing I was out in the ocean.
These were things healthy people would do. And that sick part of me worried I would never do amazing things like swimming with whale sharks.
But a few years ago, I found myself in Mexico waking up at 4am to get on a boat.
It took a total of over 8 hours to get out to them. There was no way I could have done that 10 years ago.
On the boat ride, the part of me that cried in the bathtub for so many years got worried.
That part of me thought I would never be able to do amazing things in my life, like swim with whale sharks.
What if I got too tired once we got out there? What if I couldn’t swim for very long?
But I was healthy now. And when I got in the water, I forgot all these worries.
The long trip was so worth it. When we finally found them, there were over 15 whale sharks in the water! It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life!
And I was so small compared to the whale sharks. I could tell they didn’t really know I was there.
Being next to a creature literally over 10 times my size truly put everything in my life into perspective.
And to make it even more amazing, there were several Manta Rays!
These mantas were about 10 feet across. There were at least 5 of them.
Here is what a Manta Ray looks like:
They look so magical when they swim. Like giant birds flying slowly and gracefully.
And the mantas did know I was in the water. One of them kept swimming right under me and interacting with me.
I spent over 2 hours in the water with them.
Just a few years before then, I was so sick I couldn’t even travel. Much less swim for 2 hours like this.
While I was in the water, I kept thinking about this transformation in my health. I cried the whole time with joy and relief that I had recovered my health to where I could do this.
Here is a picture of one of the Mantas that kept swimming under me:
And here is me watching one of the whale sharks:
For my whole life, I will never forget what it was like to be in the water with them.
Even writing this to you, I have tears of joy from the memories of being in the water with these animals. And reflecting on how far I’ve come in the past several years.
In the ocean that day, I reclaimed my dreams. And I let go of the limitations I had put on myself when I was sick.
One of my favorite authors, Paulo Coelho, said in the Alchemist:
“It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.”
What would it be like to get back to living your dreams?
Dreams that only live in your head? The ones you’re afraid to tell people, because you wonder if it’s really possible or you don’t want someone to laugh at you?
Things you’d do “If only”…
If only you could trust your body.
If only you could have two good days in a row.
If only you had the energy.
What dreams would you follow if only you were “healthy?”
Here’s the thing—people want to be healthy so they can live out their dreams.
Dreams of People with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and Histamine Intolerance
I’ve been asking my clients with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome what dreams they’ve given up on.
Here’s a few they have shared:
- I gave up on becoming a doctor, because I was too sick to handle the workload. – Bea
- I gave up my dreams of seeing the Pyramids in Egypt. I’m still deeply sad about it. – Sofia
- I used to work as an emergency room nurse. I had to give that up. I mostly stay home now. – Victoria
- I used to run marathons. I had to let it go. – Bryan
- I wanted to take my daughter on a scuba diving trip when she graduated college, but I couldn’t make it. – Monica
These dreams are why I created Mast Cell 360.
I gave up on my dreams when I was sick.
But now I’m living life and accomplishing them one by one.
It started with that experience of swimming with the whale sharks.
You deserve to take your dreams back.
To live them out, one by one, with a healthier body.

Here are some stories from my clients:
The first thing I noticed were less mast cell reactions. I had been having a constant burning mouth and red neck. I even broke into hives when I showered. This went away after about 8 months. My brain fog is nonexistent most of the time (that was a huge issue I was dealing with). My neurological inflammation improved, joint pain improved, and my energy has massively improved. My anxiety and agoraphobia are gone too. My life has changed to nearly normal.
– Joy E.
We are seeing healing! Our daughter is healing! As I type this, it’s hard to hold back the tears as I reflect on the journal I was keeping through her hardest moments. Each day with aches, pains, and fear of not being able to breathe. Our daughter was passing out with anaphylaxis and flat on her back from pain at one point in our journey, and today she is active and managing well with her family and friends. We are blessed to have Beth as our healthcare leader.
– Carol W.
I was barely sleeping at night and my body was full of inflammation. I began to recognize and understand MCAS and other underlying hypermobility issues that I had. The supplement recommendations were also a game-changer for me, and I was finally able to break out of my long cycle of pain and inflammation. Beth truly is on the cutting edge of this field, and I am so grateful to her for it.
– Gail T.
Beth has a keen ability to know when to introduce the next level or process and she has a wealth of knowledge and the tools to fit my individual needs. She knew exactly when to bring them on board. My histamine issues and inflammation are significantly better, and I am enjoying life in a whole new way.
– Beulah H.
I went to see Beth when I was having several areas of health concerns and wanted more holistic answers. My histamine levels are way down, and I’m feeling much better after working with Beth. I recommend her for anyone who is experiencing health concerns and who would like a holistic approach that addresses the whole person!”
– Liz J.
The master class was very helpful. I still need one on one help. What do you think earliest time is for you to take on new patient?
Hi Sandra,
Please feel free to reach out to us via email and we can send you some information. Thank you for your interest in Mast Cell 360.
The master class was very helpful.
Do you know of a good test to learn which probiotics I need?
Hi Sandra,
This is an excellent one, that also looks at a number of other gut markers

This one looks just at the microbiome and costs less. It doesn’t have the other gut markers, though:
