2020 Holiday Gift Ideas for Happy Mast Cells for the People in your Life with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or Histamine Intolerance

2020 Holiday Gift Ideas for Happy Mast Cells for the People in your Life with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or Histamine Intolerance

One of the things I love about the holiday season is finding the perfect gift for loved ones. I really enjoy thinking about each person and who they are.

Then I try to choose something thoughtful that they would appreciate or says something about how they are special to me.

Even better yet, my favorite is when I can come up with something they would really love to have. But they won’t give themselves permission to buy for themselves.

This often brings me as much joy as it does for my loved ones.

And it’s one of the ways I like to show love in my love language.

A few years ago, I got my husband a 3D printer for Christmas. He had mentioned casually that they sounded cool. But it wasn’t something he thought was practical enough to spend money on.

So, I tucked it into my mind. And then before the holidays, I spent a few weeks researching the best home 3D printers. Which ones last the longest? Which ones were customizable? Which ones had the best features? Which ones performed the best?

He was so delighted and surprised that I got this for him. And he’s enjoyed that 3D printer ever since – making all kinds of fun, cool, and even practical things with it.

When you have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or Histamine Intolerance…it can be really hard for loved ones to know what gift you (whether for the holidays, birthdays, graduations, etc.).

I’ve had people try so hard to give me gifts I can use. And then I had to figure out how to discretely regift them or donate them somewhere.

It can feel a bit embarrassing when someone gives you a Bath and Body Works lotion and you can’t even open it to smell it.

Because with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or Histamine Intolerance, you probably already know you CAN’T do these things. And as you get more health conscious, you probably already know that most of these things aren’t very healthy anyway:

  • Perfume or cologne
  • Scented candles
  • Scented body products
  • Most cosmetics or personal care products
  • Most boxed candies and chocolates
  • Wheat-based breads, cookies, cakes, and pies
  • Restaurant gift certificates
  • Wine or beer

My family was always trying to figure out what to do for me. Because they knew I had all these sensitivities. And they’d ask me a ton of questions: Can you have this luxurious skin care product? No. :’( What about those chocolate covered cherries you used to love? No, I can’t eat them anymore. :’(

Eventually, I started coming up with a list of what I COULD have. And this made everyone happier!

They could get an idea of what I wanted or could have. And I didn’t have to embarrassingly find a new home for the things I couldn’t use.

That’s my goal with this gift guide for you – I wanted to do the research and gift you with a list of Happy Mast Cell & Histamine Friendly Gifts you can share with your loved ones.

I’ve included gift ideas for:

  • Tea and coffee lovers
  • Food lovers
  • Health nuts
  • Mold Sufferers
  • Insomniacs
  • Beauty enthusiasts

These gifts are all Mast Cell and Histamine Friendly – in fact, they can really help Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and Histamine Intolerance.

So, feel free to forward this list to your family members or friends who are figuring out what to get you!

Tulsi is a delicious type of tea that really supports Mast Cells. And it has a lot of histamine lowering properties.

There are a lot of Tulsi teas available out there. But they sit too long after harvest, so the histamine levels really build in them.

That’s why I really love the Tulsi tea from this company – Kauai Farmacy. They package the tea within a week of harvest. And send it directly to you.

This makes it the freshest Tulsi tea you can find without picking it yourself. The tea drinkers on your list will be surprised at the refreshing and delicious flavor. It’s really quite the lovely treat!

This Kauai Farmacy store page was made just for Mast Cell 360 readers. I curated it myself. So, everything on there is Mast Cell friendly!

For the Coffee Lover – Purity Coffee

Purity Coffee Mast Cell 360

Coffee is one of those things that some people absolutely love. And if your loved one is a coffee drinker, this is the best out there for Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or Histamine Intolerance.

Almost all coffee is high histamine, though. Not good for Mast Cell or Histamine issues. On top of that, it is usually loaded with chemicals and mold toxins that can make people with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or Histamine Intolerance feel really bad.

For the Food Lover –Otto’s Cassava Flour

Otto's Cassava Flour

Cassava flour is a great replacement for wheat flour. And most of us with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or Histamine Intolerance can’t eat anything with wheat.

Cassava flour was a game changer for me, though! All of a sudden, I could have tortillas, muffins, scones, even stroganoff!

If your loved one likes to cook, cassava flour is a must try!

For the Health Nut – Air Doctor Air Filter

Air Doctor Mast Cell 360

Some people have a lot of food sensitivities. And you may not be able to get tea or coffee or cassava flour for them.

But, every home needs a few good air filters. I have one in my bedroom, my office, the living room, and the basement.

I’ve tried several different ones. Some have really difficult-to-change and expensive air filters. Just a hassle. Others don’t have any indicator for when to change the filter.

Some have very high, mast cell triggering EMFs. Some are really expensive for what you get.

Most don’t work well at all. And furnace filters don’t cut it when you have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or Histamine Intolerance.

Out of all I’ve experimented with and researched, I’ve been happiest with the Air Doctor.

There were 2 huge things that struck me. That it makes my rooms smell like fresh mountain air. And that it was almost ½ the cost of the comparable air filters in the same performance class!

The Air Doctor:

  • Is a great value
  • Has auto sensors
  • Is low EMF
  • Has easy to change filters
  • Has an easy to-read air filter change indicator
  • Is very effective – filters to .003 microns

For the Mold Sufferer – Biobalance Travel Mister

Addressing Mold Toxins when you have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or Histamine Intolerance

>>>Use coupon code Mastcell360 for 10% off, any order

Does your loved one have Mold Toxicity, along with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or Histamine Intolerance?

If so, this makes it really hard to travel places! This is because over 50% of all buildings in the United States are estimated to have toxic mold. This is a major concern!

It’s even worse in hotels where they shampoo the carpets.

But most mold remediating products have caused major reactions for my clients with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or Histamine Intolerance.

The good news is, these Biobalance products have been safe and tolerated by nearly everyone.

This Biobalance Travel Sprayer has been extremely helpful for me as well. I use it when I travel to hotels to reduce the mold spores’ toxins that can cause me to react.

You can also use it for visiting family and friends to temporarily lower the mold spores and toxins in your guest room.

And, if there is any mold in your house, this company has great customer service to help you come up with a plan.

Great for those with:

  • Histamine Intolerance
  • Mast Cell Activation Syndrome
  • Mold Toxicity

For the Insomniac – Brain Tap

Brain Tap Headphones

Most people I’ve worked with who have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or Histamine Intolerance also deal with sleep problems. I had horrible sleep issues for years.

A wonderful gift is something that can help them sleep.

Now, sleep is complicated, so there is never a one-size-fits all solution. It’s usually about fixing a number of underlying problems.

One of the things that really helped me was working on my Vagal nerve signaling.

The vagal nerve comes out from the brain and is very involved in sleep, all kinds of sensitivities, anxiety, pain, and even energy levels.

And that’s what Brain Tap does! It’s one of my top recommendations in our Mast Cell 360 clinic.

Brain Tap helps the vagal nerve signaling through different kinds of very specialized sound recordings developed out of the science of the vagal nerve.

Some are guided relaxation recordings and some are music only.

There is a phone app you download. And you can listen to it one of 2 ways:

  1. Listen with ear buds
  2. Get the Brain Tap headset

You can actually check out the sound recordings for free here:

>>>Click Here to Try Brain Tap for 15 days for Free

But they just give you a small selection. I recommend to my clients to get 1-month full access subscription for <$30 and check out some of the recordings in these bundles:

  • Sleep Rx
  • Worry Free Me
  • Stress Free Me

Some people like the music ones best. Others like the guided ones. People generally have to experiment with a few to see.

I don’t usually recommend starting with: Wake-up, Optimal Health, or Weight Wellness. These are a bit more stimulating.

If you like the sound recordings, then you might want to check out the Brain Tap Headset you can purchase to go with it. It’s a high-end gift. But I find it to be about 10x more effective than the listening program alone.

I tell people to only use the Brain Tap headset with the audio cord. And put your phone in airplane mode for listening. Don’t use the Bluetooth feature because of the EMFs.

Quick note – the Brain Tap headset may not work for people with significant light sensitivity.

For the Beauty Enthusiast – Primal Life Organics

Primal Life Organics Mast Cell 360

Oh, how I love beauty products!!

Face serums, moisturizers, makeup – bring them all on!

There are very few things that feel more decadent than having my own home spa day.

Most products are bad news for Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or Histamine Intolerance, though. Between the fragrances and mast cell triggering ingredients, the wrong product can wreak havoc for weeks.

Most all-natural beauty products can be problematic too, because they can:

  • Develop mold
  • Have hidden toxins (greenwashing)
  • Be ineffective
  • Be a waste of money

But, my good friend Trina at Primal Life Organics has a huge line of all-natural beauty products. And, what I love about Trina is she’s very smart and a great researcher. She developed these products to be:

  • Mold free
  • Truly toxin free
  • Highly effective
  • Feel luxurious
  • Great value

Primal Life Organics has all kinds of options too. Here are some of my favorites:

  • Spearmint Toothpaste
  • Bare Cleanser
  • Natural Body Moisturizer
  • Hand Repair Unscented

If you’re shopping around, check the ingredients and just avoid the ones with: clove, cinnamon, and citrus oils

Great for those with:

  • Histamine Intolerance
  • Mast Cell Activation Syndrome
  • Mold Toxicity
  • Skin sensitivities

May not work for:

  • Those with Salicylate Intolerance
  • Those with sensitivities to all herbs

However you spend the holidays and special occasions, I truly wish you a time of joy, peace, and realizing you are loved.
